Group coaching
Work on it alongside people who get it.
A facilitated group where everyone works on their own goal, learns from the others in the room and gets held to what they say they'll do.
Why a group
Being stuck feels lonely. It usually isn't.
A lot of people carry the same things in silence. In a group you hear yourself in someone else's story, you say things out loud that you've never said, and you find out you're not the only one.
You also get accountability that's hard to build alone. Facilitating coaching groups is part of my iPEC training and practice.
Formats
Three ways to do it.
- Men's groups
- For men who feel stuck but know they're not limited. A steady group, honest conversation and a real step to take between sessions.
- Leadership groups
- Peer groups for leaders from different organizations who want a confidential place to think out loud.
- Team sessions
- Sessions for a leadership team or a group of colleagues, built around what your team is working through.
Dates, group size and fees are set for each group. Register your interest and tell me what you're looking for, and I'll let you know when the next group forms.
Ground rules
What makes a group work.
- What's shared in the group stays in the group.
- You choose what you share and how deep you go.
- We listen rather than fix. Nobody gets advice they didn't ask for.
- You show up, and you do what you said you'd do.
Questions about groups
Is group coaching therapy?
No. It's a facilitated, forward-looking space to work on your own goals alongside other people. If something needs clinical support, I'll help you find it.
How big are the groups?
Size is set for each group and kept small enough that everyone gets real time. I'll confirm it when you register your interest.
Do I have to share personal things?
Only what you choose to. You set the depth. You'll get more out of it the more honest you are, but nobody is put on the spot.
Is it confidential?
Confidentiality is a ground rule. Everyone agrees to keep what's shared in the group within the group. I can't control what other members do, which is why we agree on it up front.
Can I bring my team?
Yes. I can run sessions for a leadership team or a group of colleagues. Tell me what you're looking for and we'll talk it through.
If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 9-8-8 any time, anywhere in Canada.
Ready to talk it through?
